Our Family

Family raised in Flatonia, TX. Based in Richmond, serving the Houston area.

Castañeda Beef raises Akaushi cattle in Central Texas. We are family owned and operated and pride ourselves in providing top quality Wagyu beef that is always hormone & antibiotic free. Our cattle are raised with high standards and kept relaxed, well fed and comfortable.  

Rene and Jinni Castañeda began selling Akaushi Wagyu to family and friends in 2017. The response was so strong that they opened Castañeda Beef to more families across Texas. Today you can find us online and at local farmers markets, with a monthly membership, the 1/4 Beef Partner Program, beef boxes and à la carte cuts.

The Castañeda family now calls Richmond home with their 4 daughters and are very active in the community, FFA in particular.
